What is Jin Shin Jyutsu?

Español

Jin Shin Jyutsu,

the artless art comes from Japan and means:

    Jin - man
    Shin - creator
    Jyutsu - art

Master Jiro Murai who revived this art around 1920, described Jin Shin Jyutsu as:

  • Art of longevity: -live fully, experience each breath fully.
  • Art of benevolence: -know thyself and experience the subtle, deep force of existence.
  • Art of happiness: –Realize… It is … I Am… I Am the smile, because IT is

The ancient knowledge of Jin Shin Jyutsu had been passed on orally from generation to generation, but finally it had been forgotten.

Master Jiro Murai rediscovered Jin Shin Jyutsu incidentally, as he experienced complete healing from a terminal disease by practicing ten specific mudras (specific hand position of Jin Shin Jyutsu). Thereafter he dedicated his whole life to the research of the secrets of this ancient healing art. His insights and knowledge, gained through personal experience and out of the “Kojiki” (Holy book of Japan), he passed on to his American-Japanese student Mary Burmeister.

Since the mid-fifties Mary Burmeister taught this art in U.S.A. and Europe.                            Today Jin Shin Jyutsu is being taught by certified teachers throughout the world.

The 26 Energy-Locks of Jin Shin Jyutsu

   Jiro Murai

Jin Shin Jyutsu works with 26 “Energy-locks” located on the different energy- circuits through which the life-force circulates in our body. If one or more circuits get blocked, the resulting stagnation interrupts the energy flow in this area, ultimately disharmonising all energy patterns of the body.

Applying Jin Shin Jyutsu induces equanimity, promotes health and well-being by evoking and strengthening our inherent profound self healing force. It is a valuable and significant addition to all other healing methods, bringing deep relaxation and reducing all kind of symptoms.

In other words: "The body is a very delicate instrument with its need to be attuned so it can perform a wonderful sonata."

A session of Jin Shin Jyutsu usually lasts one hour. No massage or manipulation of the muscles is applied, no medication or substances are given.

The gentle energy-work of Jin Shin Jyutsu is performed by laying the hands on specific "energy-locks" (over the clothing) which harmonizes the energy-flow throughout the body.

Jin Shin Jyutsu can be practised by oneself or by a trained practitioner.
